Overcast skies can also make celestial navigation nearly impossible. On this voyage, a cold front rolled in heavy cloud clover in Day Three, forcing some resourceful thinking for the celestial navigation team. Fortunately, however, the clouds broke again as we reached Hell Gate, resulting in only a temporary hiccup in their plans.
