1st Entry, 1135 Hours: Once their gear is safely stowed belowdecks, the students take a moment to relax under the cover of a tarp. We have a long journey ahead of us--one we've never attempted on a Voyage of Discovery before. The students on this leg of the voyage will take the Half Moon down to the mouth of the Hudson River, around Manhattan, and out into Long Island Sound. We have a few long days of travel ahead of us to meet that schedule, so we're intent on setting out as quickly as possible.
