3rd Entry, 2100 Hours: Our first day of travel reaches its conclusion when we cross under the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge and set the anchor. Mr. Hottenstein stands ready to make fast the rode (belay the line) once we've put out 150 feet of line. Once the ship is secure, the crew reports on deck for our first anchor watch briefing, and then it's a quick lights out. Everyone's eager to hit the sack; we have another long day of travel and an early start waiting for us tomorrow!
