4th Entry, 1642 Hours: Mr. Shorthouse is stationed on the starboard fore channel, guiding the anchor as the fore deck team lowers it to the waterline. When Captain Reynolds gives the command to "Let fall!" Mr. Shorthouse pulls the fid (the wooden "carrot" seen above), allowing the anchor to plunge to the bottom.
