4th Entry, 1131 Hours: Compared to the Half Moon's homewaters back on the Hudson River, the Connecticut River has always been narrow and tricky to navigate for large craft. On the one hand, this has historically limited the commercial traffic on the Connecticut River, leaving most of its shoreline lightly populated countryside, unlike the more industrialized Hudson. On the other hand, this means we rarely have an opportunity to sail on this river; the wind must be just right.
