2nd Entry, 1359 Hours: At the end of the hour, Mr. Prime talks Mason through the helm positions just before the latter takes the helm for the first time. We are now entering a lengthy, straight, and relatively narrow section of the river known as the Long Reach (or Lange Rack in Dutch). The Long Reach offers few harbors to safely set anchor, so we have a long way to go before we can rest tonight!
