I'm Alyssa. I'm 12 years old. I go to Rensselaer and I'm in the 8th grade. I'm looking forward to meeting new people and being a part of the crew. Even though I'm going to miss my family I will love being on the ship. Other than being on the Half Moon I play tennis, softball, and basketball. I hope to have a great time on the ship and have great new experiences.

Hi! I'm Lauren and I'm 13 years old. I live with my parents; I'm an only child. I have a guinea-pig named Ginger. In my spare time I like to sing and play on the piano, and to swim. I swim twice a week. I used to dance, but it became too busy. I don't have time to dance and do my homework. I'm very excited to go to America ! I think it is going to be a great experience on the boat! I only know America from movies, so I think you've got delicious donuts and hotdogs, ha ha. I'm also looking forward to going to school there! I also know that only from movies as High School Musical, and Bring It On, and I'm not sure if that is realistic, so we'll see!

Hello, my name is Marije. I’m 14 years old and in the 3rd class. (This is the same as the 9th Grade). My hobbies are gymnastics and ice skating. I live with my parents, my brother (12 years old), and sister (8 years old). It sounds like fun to go to an American school, because I think it is very different from a Dutch school. I hope we will go with a yellow school bus to school. Cheerleading seems also funny; we don’t have that in the Netherlands . I’m looking forward to going to New York and living with a family for a few days.
