Andrew
Connecticut River Academy
Lichtmatroos/Ordinary Sailor
Research Project: Celestial Tracking
My dad was in the Navy for a while and I grew up hearing all these stories. As I grow older, I saw more and more facts to support the stories I'd heard and I became more eager to get on a bigger boat. I've been on smaller boats and I love being on the water. I'm overjoyed to be involved with this experience.

My name is Kristen and I am a senior. I wanted to go on the Half Moon voyage because I want to try to do something new. It is my last year in high school and I know this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Liz
Connecticut River Academy
Research Project: Mechanical Advantage
I am a tenth grader at Connecticut River Academy. I wanted to go on the Half Moon because I saw the ship when I was applying and it looked amazing. Also, I want to try something new. Some odd facts about me are that I twirl a baton in the St. Peters Drum Corps in Aruba over the summer.

Luseldi
Connecticut River Academy
Research Project: Salinity & Turbidity
I hope to grow from this experience by learning what to do while aboard the ship. I haven't really lived or been on a ship for a long time, so I wanted to use this opportunity to experience it. I like to work hard and to be responsible when I get assigned something. I really like being close to the water, and going to new places.
