2nd Entry, 1059 Hours: Each morning, as the Half Moon gets underway, we weigh (raise) the anchor to free ourselves from the night's mooring. This is a complex process, and with this entry we'll follow through the entire procedure, step by step. First, the entire crew divides into teams spread across four decks. On the orlop deck, Timotyh and Jeannine prepare to fake (neatly fold) the anchor rode (line) after it enters the ship and passes around the capstan. Mr. Hotterstein works the bits, where the rode can be made fast; he's in postion to secure the road at a moment's notice as a safety precaution.
